Out of our concern for the world our children are growing up in, we are taking action to reduce our environmental impact, we are committed to cleaner road transport and we encourage alternative modes of transport.
Reducing our CO2
emissions
We are committed to reducing our CO2 emissions every year
(-5% between 2020 and 2022) and have been a signatory of ADEME’s CO2 Charter for transporters since 2011.
To achieve this, our trainers regularly provide drivers with individual in-cab ‘eco-driving’ training sessions.
In addition, we are constantly modernising our fleet, for instance, with RNG vehicles, robotic gearbox equipment, installing on-board computers, buying Euro 6 vehicles, and more.
We promote the use of alternative transport. Through the company COMBIPASS, we are developing our work in renting equipment for multimodal transport. Rail, river and maritime transport consume less fossil fuel and emit fewer greenhouse gases than road transport. This also reduces congestion on certain routes.
Controlling the environmental
impact of sites
Our Procurement Department is continuing to improve the environmental performance of our sites by reducing water and electricity consumption.
At the Groupe Berto we are also committed to constructing buildings with consideration for their environmental impact.
We have also provided all office-based staff with the means to sort their waste.
In addition, 100% of the paper we use is recycled.
